The eligibility questionnaire is the document you need to complete to see if you are eligible for the waitlist. Most people call this the “application”, but the application will not be completed until an apartment is offered. Please click on the link below to print a copy of the questionnaire

Covenant Place and its management company, Community Housing Management Corporation, Inc., follow a consistent application process. Covenant Place is a diverse community and welcomes all applicants. NOTICE 1: The Covenant Place I – Affordable Wait list is temporarily closed due to the volume of applicants we currently have on the list. This list is for “The New Building” located in the front of the property. We still have wait list openings available on the Reduced Market Rate List for the same building.

NOTICE 2: Effective February 1, 2018 The Covenant House II – Affordable Wait list is closed due to the volume of applicants we currently have on the list. The Covenant “Place” II building that is currently under construction will begin accepting waitlist applications about 90days prior to opening. We still have waitlist openings for the CHAI Building for seniors over the age of 62 and persons with disabilities 18 and up.

Leasing Eligibility

Covenant Place is an Equal Housing Opportunity facility. Applicants must meet the Tenant Selection Criteria to reside at Covenant Place. These include, but are not limited to:

  • Individual applying for residency must be 62 years of age, or older.
  • Our facility (in our CHAI building) has 15 apartments that are available for adults aged 18+ with disabilities. (For questions about disability status, please consult our leasing office.)
  • No more than two people may reside in a one-bedroom apartment.
  • Rent is based on income.
  • Income limits for admissions eligibility are set by HUD each year. Please consult our leasing office to see if you qualify.

Applicants must be able to complete the application process. If there are necessary accommodations that must be made for the applicant to do this, please communicate these needs to the Leasing Director and all efforts will be made to provide the accommodation, within reason.

Applicants must meet eligibility requirements before being placed on the wait list.

Applicants must be able to comply with the terms of their lease. Covenant Place does not offer personal care, nursing care, medical intervention, daily monitoring or any other personal assistance. Housekeeping assistance is available on a sliding scale fee, for those who qualify.
